There are people who are either born with speech disorders or develop this, later in life, causing their inability to speak and communicate freely. As such, assessment and treatment is performed by a medical person, exclusively qualified in the field and who is referred to as Speech-language Pathologist or simply put a speech therapist.
A handful of tested and trusted techniques have been in place, to treat their internal organs critical to speaking and communication.
Done either individually or in a group whereby a bunch of exercises and activities are performed as per age, disorder and specific requirements of the kid.
Home assignments are also given and parents and caregiver is expected to take care of kid while at home.
Initial assessment is done and disorders are specified to administer treatment and therapies most suitable to his condition. Besides, there are seen swallowing problems among them, that can either be due to an injury or any of critical disease, such as Parkinson’s, cancer of mouth etc and appropriate treatment practices are conducted by qualified specialists.
